Learning can help you to go places, whatever your situation or stage of life. We’ve got help and advice for you, whether you want to return to learning after having children, study from home whilst working, brush up on your reading and writing, or do a leisure course.
Types of learning

Learning’s not just about sitting in a classroom – there are many different ways to learn that might suit you more. You could train for a job by doing an Apprenticeship, earning while you’re learning. Or you could take advantage of the training opportunities in your workplace. Funding advice

When you’ve decided on a course, make sure you check out your funding options in detail. Whether you get help with course fees and living costs usually depends on your personal circumstances and the course you’re doing. You might qualify for a grant or bursary that you don’t have to pay back. There are also loans for work-related learning and for higher education. Some courses are free. In our funding pages there’s lots of information about the different funding schemes. There are also some handy funding searches, so you can see what’s available to people in your situation.
