About My searches

My saved items

My searches allows you to save your favourite job searches, set up email alerts and add jobs to 'My job basket'.

To use these features, you will need to register with My searches by providing a username and password. You can then log in to My searches at any time by entering your username and password.  Please note that this registration is only applicable to the Jobs and Skills job search within Directgov. For more information, see registration.

When you register with My searches you will be able to:

  • Save your favourite job searches by selecting 'Save this search / add email alert' on a job search results page.  For more information, see saved searches.
  • Set up email alerts for up to 3 of your saved searches.  To do this you will need to provide an email address.  For more information, see email alerts.
  • Use 'My job basket' to save any jobs that interest you in one place.  For more information, see My job basket.
