The Fire & Rescue Service is an extraordinary career
There's a lot more to the Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) than first meets the eye. Sure we put fires out and rescue the occasional cat from a tree, but that's just a small part of what we do. Our role mainly, is to respond to any emergency where lives are at risk – be that a hazardous chemical spill, unstable building or traffic accident.
No two call-outs are ever the same, and neither are the people who make up the FRS. Men, women, young, old, big or small – we're a team of highly skilled people, who together save lives.
