Applying for student finance

New and continuing full-time students can apply for student loans, grants, and some bursaries online for the 2011/12 academic year. If you can’t apply online contact Student Finance England who’ll provide you with a paper application form.

Supporting a student finance application

If you are the parent or partner of a student, you can supply your financial details in support of their application for finance online.

View payments or correspondence and update your account

Log in to your student finance account online to find out when you'll get your payments, or view copies of letters that have been sent to you by Student Finance England or Student Finance Direct.

You can also update your student finance account details (for example, your email address, term-time and home address and bank details) online.

Update your student finance login security details

If you need to access your student finance account but have forgotten your login ID or password, you can request a reminder online. Your login details will be sent to you immediately by email.
