How to use this service

You can download a claim form to apply for out-of-pocket expenses if DSA cancelled your driving test at 'short notice'.

What 'short notice' means

'Short notice' means giving you less than three clear working days' notice that your driving test is cancelled. Working days include Saturdays, but don't include public holidays.

When DSA can and can't pay expenses

DSA will refund certain expenses that you had to pay on the day of the test if they cancelled your test at short notice. However, DSA does not pay expenses if your test was cancelled because of:

• bad weather
• poor light

Where to send your claim form

You should send your claim form and any supporting documents to:

• DSA, Customer Service Department, PO Box 381, Salford, Manchester, M50 3UW - for cancelled theory tests
• DSA, PO Box 280, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE99 1FP - for cancelled practical tests
