If you or your partner are getting a low income benefit and need help towards the cost of a funeral, you may be able to get a Funeral Payment.
Visit the Funeral Payments page for information about who is eligible, what the payment could help pay for, and how to apply for one.
You can apply any time after the date the person died and up to three months after the date of the funeral.
You can download the Funeral Payment claim form in PDF format. The form comes with notes that will help you fill it in. Once you have completed the form please send or take it to your local Jobcentre Plus office. To find your local Jobcentre Plus office please use the link below.
