Pensions and retirement planning: claim forms and leaflets
Claim forms and postal addresses for State Pension, State Pension forecast, Pension Credit and Winter Fuel Payment. Also download leaflets to help you plan your retirement and how to top up your State Pension if you’re planning your retirement or already retired.
State Pension claim forms
The quickest and simplest way to claim State Pension is to call The Pension Service on 0800 731 7898. For opening hours, textphone and Welsh phone numbers see the following link.
State Pension claim form (BR1)
Send your State Pension claim form to your pension centre.
State Pension claim form [for international applicants] (IPCBR1)

Pension Credit application form
The quickest and simplest way to claim Pension Credit is to call The Pension Service on 0800 99 1234. For opening hours, textphone and Welsh phone numbers see the following link.
You can complete and return a Pension Credit application form by post. There are two ways to do this:
- download a 'print' application form, print it, fill it in by hand and post it to your pension centre
- download an 'interactive' application form, fill it in on your computer, print it and post it to your pension centre
Clearly label the envelope as ‘Freepost’ for free delivery.
Winter Fuel Payment
If you received a Winter Fuel Payment last year and you still qualify, you should get your Winter Fuel Payment automatically this year. You do not need to apply again.
To apply for a Winter Fuel Payment you can download the claim form from the following link:
