The Deputy Prime Minister has announced the membership of an independent Riots, Communities and Victims Panel which has been set up to examine and understand why the August riots took place.
The independent Riots Communities and Victims Panel has now published its interim report. It finds that there were many causes and motivations for the disorder in England between 6-10 August 2011.
The visit schedule will be regularly updated so please keep checking
The panel will talk directly to those who were affected in their communities including young people, local businesses, parents and residents.

The panel will publish an interim report in November and will present a final report to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Official Opposition in March 2012.

The panel will travel around the country to speak directly to people about the causes of the riots and to gather evidence. They will hold one-to-one meetings, open public meetings, and meetings with representative groups to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard.
