Arthritis and driving
Arthritis is a condition that you may need to tell the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) about. Find out which questionnaire you need to complete for the driving licence you hold.
Car or motorcycle driving licence holders
If you suffer from arthritis, telling DVLA will depend on whether your condition affects your driving.
If you do not use special controls for driving
If you do not use special controls for driving - you do not need to tell DVLA.
If you use special controls for driving
If you use special controls for driving - you will need to tell DVLA.
To tell DVLA please download the medical questionnaire 'G1' and send it to DVLA.
Bus, coach or lorry driving licence holders
If you suffer from arthritis, telling DVLA will depend on whether your condition affects your driving.
