Help with video files

To watch videos on Cross & Stitch you will need to have Javascript enabled and Adobe Flash Player 9 or higher. If you cannot access Adobe Flash Player you can download videos to watch with Windows Media Player or QuickTime.

Downloading Adobe Flash Player

Installing Adobe Flash Player is simple, safe and free. The link below will take you to the Adobe Flash Player website. Simply click on the Download Flash Player link on the right-hand side of the page and follow the instructions. Once Adobe Flash Player is installed on your computer you will be able to watch videos on Cross & Stitch.

If you are using Cross & Stitch at work, some corporate firewalls may prevent you from seeing Adobe Flash videos or from downloading the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. In this case you may want to speak to your IT department.

Downloading videos

If you can’t view videos on Cross & Stitch you can download them in WMV or MOV format, allowing you to watch them with Windows Media Player or QuickTime.

Video transcripts and subtitles

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, or if you prefer to view the information in text form, every video has a text alternative. Some videos will have a CC (closed captions) button on the bottom of the video player - select this to see captions. Otherwise, a transcript of the video will be available.

Turning on/off Javascript

To watch videos on Cross & Stitch you must have Javascript enabled on your computer. In most cases, unless you have deliberately turned Javascript off, it will be running by default.
