There is a range of organisations and charities that offer advice and information on rights and obligations.

Advicenow

Advicenow brings together the best information on the law and your rights from a wide range of advice and information services.

Citizens Advice Bureau

Free, confidential, impartial and independent advice on debt and consumer issues, benefits, housing, legal matters, employment and immigration. Advisers can help fill out forms, write letters, negotiate with creditors and represent clients at court or tribunal.

Disability Alliance

The Disability Alliance aims to improve the living standards of disabled people by breaking the link between poverty and disability.

The Electoral Commission

An independent body who aim to increase public confidence in the democratic process within the UK - encourage people to take part, promoting public awareness of electoral matters, and regulating political parties.

Equality and Human Rights Commission

The Equality and Human Rights Commission works to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality and protect human rights. The new commission merges the former Disability Rights Commission (DRC), Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) and Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC).

Legal Services Commission

The Legal Services Commission is an executive non-departmental public body created under the Access to Justice Act 1999 which has replaced the Legal Aid Board. It is responsible for the development and administration of two schemes in England and Wales.
