The Stabilisation Unit is jointly owned by the Department for International Development (DFID), the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Ministry of Defence (MOD). The Stabilisation Unit helps improve the UK's ability to support fragile and conflict-affected countries.
The Unit has a London based core team of over 60 people drawn from across UK Government Departments, the military and the police service, plus a database of over 1000 experts drawn from civil service volunteers, civilian experts, the NGO and private sectors.
