Companies House is an executive agency of the United Kingdom government in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). All limited companies in Great Britain, including subsidiary, small and inactive companies, are registered with Companies House and must file annual financial statements and company returns, which are both public records. Foreign companies which have a branch or place of business in Great Britain must also register and file annual financial statements, annual returns and other information.
