Below is a range of government organisations that offer advice and information on money related areas

Benefit Enquiry Line

Advice and information for disabled people and carers on the full range of benefits available and how to claim them. The line also offers help with claim form completion for certain benefits.

This telephone line does not hold any customer records so is unable to deal with claims that have already been submitted or late or missing payments.

Disability Benefits Helpline - for Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance

You can get advice on Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance and may have access to your records once the claim is in process. You can also report any changes in your circumstances that may affect your benefit.

Carer's Allowance - enquiries

Information regarding Carer's Allowance, the main state benefit for carers, including eligibility and how to make a claim.

Help with health costs advice line

The advice line provides advice to NHS patients about entitlements to prescription charge exemptions and the evidence needed when asking pharmacies and dispensing chemists for free prescriptions.

Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) order line

This order line enables the public to buy a PPC by phone using a credit or debit card and provides general advice regarding prescriptions. Calls are charged at local rate.
